Admissions
PHILOSOPHY OF ADMISSIONSThe Office of Admissions for Black Hills Biblical Institute recruits and admits qualified students who seek an educational foundation based on an explicitly Christian world and life view. BHBI focuses on preparing students for leadership both in Christian ministry and in the culture based on the revealed Word of God. WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS?In order to ensure a timely admission process, all forms and necessary documentation should be sent to BHBI by the appropriate dates prior to the beginning of the semester in which the student seeks enrollment. These dates are indicated on the Academic Calendar. HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTEDThe decision to admit a student rests with the admissions committee, appointed by the BHBI Director. After initial review, admission may be granted on a provisional basis, pending submission of remaining documentation. Once the admissions file has been completed and evaluated, the applicant will be notified concerning his/her status. In the event an applicant is admitted, but does not enroll immediately, files are kept active for two years. WHAT IS PROVISIONAL ADMISSION?Applicants who do not meet conditions for full acceptance, or whose applications are incomplete, may be admitted provisionally at the discretion of the Director or the President. Conditions for full acceptance must ordinarily be met before the end of the semester in which provisional admission is granted. WHAT IF I AM A VETERAN?BHBI is in the process of securing status as a VA-approved institution for Veterans' Benefits. Certain benefits are currently available for study at BHBI.
