
Items Included in the Application Process

Application for Admission
All applicants must submit an Application Form for admission. The
Application should be accompanied by a $25 non-refundable application
fee. Applications cannot be processed without the application fee.
Note: Graduate applicants must meet requirements set forth by Midwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary. Contact the BHBI office for details, or
visit the MBTS website: www.mbts.edu.
Official Transcript(s)
Undergraduate transfer students must submit official transcripts from
every post-secondary school attended. Transfer students with 15 or more
hours of transferable credit are not required to submit high school
transcripts. Transfer applicants must have at least a 2.0 cumulative
grade point average (CGPA) on all previous work in order to be granted
full acceptance. Full acceptance cannot be granted until all transcripts
are received.
References
Each applicant must submit at least two references from individuals
other than members of the applicant's family, preferably a pastor and a
former teacher or employer. A form for this purpose is included in the
admissions packet. Letters from individuals will suffice if they cover
the same areas of interest as the BHBI Reference Form. To ensure
confidentiality, references must be sent directly by referring
individuals to the BHBI Admissions Office.
Church Endorsement Form
The applicant must secure the official endorsement of his/her local
church regarding his/her intention to study at Black Hills Biblical
Institute. A Church Endorsement Form is included for this purpose in the
admissions packet.
