Message from the president

Black Hills Biblical Institute
Not once in the book of
Esther does the name of God appear. But anyone who reads Esther sees the
hand of God on every page, working through people to accomplish His
salvation in desperate times. That was Mordecai's encouragement to his
fearful Esther, "who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for
such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14).
Mordecai's reminder is a kind of watchword for Black Hills Biblical
Institute. The long-time vision for such a school has come to
realization in desperate times: God has raised up Black Hills Biblical
Institute "for such a time as this." In a culture of skeptics, we
believe that God has spoken truth without error in His Word. In a world
that slouches in mediocrity, we believe that God has called us to
rigorous study. In this "culture of death," God has us called to
proclaim life and hope. In a loveless age, we harbor a passion to know
and love God, and in love to take the gospel of His Son boldly into
these times.
If God leads you to BHBI, expect to be challenged. The Bible will be
your primary text; but an outstanding faculty will also teach you to
"read" the culture. And through all of your study and learning, you will
be part of a family of believers who hunger and thirst for the glory of
God, and who "consider one another to stir up love and good works (Heb.
10:24).
The Black Hills Biblical Institute is not for everyone. But God is
raising up men and women "for such a time as this." And if God is
leading you toward serious kingdom ministry, let’s talk and pray with
serious biblical preparation.
C. Richard Wells President, BHBI
